Blue Bird’s Song is an animated visual novel written in poetry, set in a fantasy universe, exploring fairy tales, with a psychological thriller undertone. It is a modern retelling and feminist adaptation of Charles Perrault’s famous fairy tale Bluebeard. The story has three branches and multiple endings. Each branch has a different tone (dark, psychological, and fairy tale) as well as a specific gameplay of narrative puzzles.
