Gl0tchbl0K is an interactive audiovisual Gl0tchgaming installation consisting of a square controller field of 8x8 pressure sensitive pads, connected to the graphic bus datalines of a Playstation 2. Players are given the opportunity to creatively destroy the prefabricated game scenarios in order to create ever new Gl0tched visuals and sounds. By walking, dancing, rolling, jumping, or placing objects on the board, they can find out how different Gl0tches are created and combined, ranging from minimal changes of individual graphic elements to complete abstract visual mayhem. The controls of the games could still be used. However, the original narrative structures, missions and goals of the games get undermined and are being replaced with an open canvas without clearly defined rules. The passive and isolated act of gaming is being transformed into an experience emphasizing movement, communication and joyful destruction.
