The Poppy Grower is a tool-assisted solo journaling game about an agricultural worker growing poppies alone on an asteroid, played in the proprietary field management operating system. As you do daily tasks in the operating system, you manage software that tracks field rotations, harvesting schedules, shipping days, fertilizers and other tasks. These actions are then documented in the shipping manifests, where you increasingly have space to write about your day, your wants, your plants, life on the asteroid, the house, your hopes and whatever else you care to leave in the margins.
